Vita USB, not USB.

Really getting ticked off with all of these specialist connectors. USB is supposed to be UNIVERSAL.

Round baby sitting, grabbed my Vita this morning but it is out of charge & I don't have the charging lead with me.

Bah. BBC nature programs it is.

Same thing for phones etc.
It is getting annoying that every device has a different connector, so I feel your pain.

Completely defeats the point.
Looks like I am going to have to buy a new lead for the Vita.

I would have expected the vita to use either mini or micro usb......like almost every other device out there that isn't apple branded.

Almost all phones these days use micro usb.

Oh and wireless charging is very inefficient....that's why it won't take off, although it's suitable for water tight applications such as electric toothbrushes, other than that it's unnecessary.

My harmony remote is wireless charging! Its a fantastic gadget! Wish they were all the same

I read somewhere that European legislation has decided that all phones should have the same charging cable in the very near future, personally for me that sux as all my apple kit now uses the lighting cable so I wouldn't want to replace all that

I ordered 2 X 99p leads from Hong Kong off the back of this. The first turned up today & works fine. Thought I would try 2 different suppliers, in case it didn't turn up or was duff. At that price, I wasn't grumbling!

New slim Vita has a micro USB charger instead of the Vita's usual one.

That's handy with my Nokia 925
