F1 All Stars was a freebie on PS Plus a little while ago, so here it is as this week's Pick 'n' Mix game.

Come and join us from 8.30pm!

I already join this on a Monday with the other crew. However i dont mind dropping in and having a few games with you all on a tuesday.
Tuesday is usually London Olympics or Tomb Raider, but they say variety is the spice of life!

Sorry Martok, I haven't checked yet whether or not it is still installed.
I removed quite a few titles (Crysis 2 for instance) to make room for Okami HD & Tomb Raider.
Will have a look this evening, when I make it home.
If it's not installed then I'm not sure if I'll have time to get it downloaded prior to 8.30pm, but I'll try!

What a very surprising title and really good fun.

Only three of us on where we played some private matches to get the hang of the game and have a chat then we all headed online. The game plays really well and the Monaco circuit is extremely cute. Comms were crystal clear all night as well. Plenty of pluses to this quaint little racer and I'm sure we'll be playing this again.

Overall the game isn't as kart like as it first looks. The field is very level and "driving" ability (braking) is needed to get around corners like more series racing games and very much unlike MarioKart where braking is secondary to a huge drift. Drift is omitted from F1 All Stars and rightly so. The inclusion of the bubble weapons adds an extra bit of ability levelling to the field. Frankly a really good fun racer with plenty of giggles.

Sorry peeps was on the night shift finishing at 7am yesterday and as I slept until 2pm and had to be up at 5am today I was unable to sleep and unable to game. I had this installed and really did want to join in. I have been told it's a mix between Mario Kart and Sonic All Star racer. Would love to give it a go, maybe when anyone is free and i'm on just send me a message and I'll be there if I can.

Is this going to be played again? I didn't realise it was available on PS+. I'll get a copy later and will join you next time.

Yes, I think we'll play this again. It was more fun than I expected it to be and will be better with more folk in the room.

Great games last night Halo and Martok, definately will do it again and as I say if you dont get a big turnout with SG's, then OAP's every Monday Night @ 8:30pm.
Average room size around 6-8 people, and it has the capacity for 12 racers!

Make sure you do so before 1st May as that's when it is being removed from PS Plus.

Noobish question as I have never had Plus before. Just to clarify, If I get it for 3 months are the free games only available for those 3 months? You basically rent them for 90 days for £11.99 , but any games you purchase for extra money are yours for ever.

That's correct. PS Plus games will only work whilst you have a valid subscription. Games and DLC purchased with a PS Plus discount are indeed yours forever.

Not 100% correct - sorry to be a pedant. Martok is spot on that they're only valid whilst you have a valid subscription but...

The games aren't "only available for those 3 months" - they're available for as long as you have a subscription, ie if you never stop subscribing or even if you stop & then restart your subscription, they're yours to play. A little annoying as occasionally you need to log in to "renew" them but technically, you have them until the end of time - as long as you are paying for your subscription. They're only available for you to put in your download queue for free for those 3 months. Once they're in your queue, you're are free to download (for free) at any time. If you don't put them in your queue during this period, then you'll have to pay for them as normal.

For instance, I'm queuing up each & every free Vita title. I don't have one but if & when the price comes down/I can afford it, I'll have all of those great titles such as Gravity Rush available to me for free! If I don't queue them when they're free, I would need to pay for them.

    Hope that helps!
