    Our third clan match and first one on Battlefield 3!

    I've challenged DadsArmyClan to a clan match on Battlefield 3.

    The format hasn't yet been fully decided on but the suggestion is for a 9pm start with a warm-up map to allow for shifting people into the right teams. After this we would then play 3 maps on conquest (maps to be decided) followed by a few maps for any who stay on (with a mix-up of teams at this point).

    Regarding maps, we could have Seniors choose one map, Dads choose another and mutually agree on a third map. Suggestions or alternative arrangements gratefully received.

    The start time seems to suit my needs, so sign me up and hopefully don't arrange it for the 2nd of August as it's the only night I can't make.

    Competitive Battlefield...that'll be strange, I might even stop farting about while we play.


    Will this be using the match system or a closed room?

    2nd August was a cock-up, Halo & I can't make it until late that date hence the change to 9th.

    I wasn't intending on using the match system, just a closed server (ours or theirs). The match system seems to only let you play 2 maps (though I don't know if you play those once or twice each). Doing it ourselves means we can have 3 maps plus a warm-up one to start and some friendly ones afterwards.

    I didn't even see the date in the title...doh!

    So yeah I should be good for this. Do I have to take it seriously or can I dick about in a helicopter the whole time?

    If you dicking around gets you the k/d ratio that you currently have then you're more than welcome to! :lol:

    Yes, it'll be standard maps for the match. After that we'll switch our server to CQ maps permanently. ;) :P

    The intention is to use standard (+ Karkland) maps but not Close Quarters ones. I'd thought that 3 rounds of Conquest would be fairest as it seems to be the favoured game mode by many but I'm open to suggestions and will see what dads prefer.

    Im hoping too, but only pencil me in. We may be going away for a few days (this particular day too). We might have a last minute holiday deal, hence the vagueness. I'll let you know as soon as I do!!

    I've just sorted the details of the match for next Thursday:

    Time: 9pm
    Server: DADS NAAFI
    Maps: Seine Crossing - Conquest, Grand Bazaar - Conquest, Operation Metro - Conquest
    Friendly Fire: Off

    Currently it will be set to 16 players as we've only got 7 definites + 1 provisional signed up. If we get a few more to sign up then we can have it set to 24 players.

    The server won't be passworded, apparently they've had issues with some newer guns not being available when doing this (surely not another BF3 bug?! :roll:)

    Looking forward to the match. :)
