    The text editor is now WYSIWYG, making it easy for users to style their content the way they would like it. All of the usual features they you will be used to from the old forums and from other communities are there, however they now appear visually in the editor rather than as BBCode.

    There are also additional and expanded features.
    • A variety of fonts can now be used
    • Aligning text and pictures is now possible (left, centre, right)
    • Indenting text can now be carried out
    • A wider range of video media can be displayed within the forums (currently Dailymotion; Facebook; Liveleak; Metacafe; Vimeo; YouTube) with the possibility to add more
    • Undo and Redo buttons
    • Enhanced code box
    • Highligher tool in 4 colours - yellow, green, blue & orange. Yellow is the default, to get the others simply add the colour name into the tags
    Code:
    [hl]Default yellow highlight[/hl][/INDENT][/INDENT]
    [INDENT=2][INDENT=2][hl=green]Green highlight[/hl][/INDENT][/INDENT]
    [INDENT=2][INDENT=2][hl=blue]Blue highlight[/hl][/INDENT][/INDENT]
    [INDENT=2][INDENT=2][hl=orange]Orange highlight[/hl]

    When starting new threads, you will always get the full text editor. When replying to a post at the bottom of a thread, you will initially have the quick text editor visible. This has all of the button functionality of the full text editor plus you can upload files from there but does not show a couple of additional options such as the Watch this thread... tick box. To switch to the full text editor from the quick text editor, click on the More Options... button.

    BB Code Editor
    If you need to access the BB Code directly or prefer the BB Code Editor view (where you see the text and the surrounding BB Code rather than the WYSIWYG view) then simply click on the AA button at the top right of the text editor window. To switch back to the WYSIWYG view, click on the Use Rich Text Editor link at the bottom left of the BB Code Editor.

    If you wish to permanently switch to the BB Code Editor, click on your name at the top right of the forums and click on Preferences from the dropdown menu. You can then untick the Use the rich text editor to create and edit messages option.
