I hadn't really bothered looking at this as I've totally lost my gaming mojo since I stopped playing Burnout.
Other racing games take themselves too seriously and I find them frustrating to play and generally not much fun compared to blasting at high speed into oncoming traffic sliding around corners with ease.
I thought Need For Speed Most Wanted would fill that void but was disappointed by it for various reasons.
This game however really looks great, a huge area to play in, largely co-op/single player oriented, fun looking car handling and nothing too serious.
I'm really liking the direction this developer is going with their next gen vision, where worlds are filled with real players and single player and co-op are seamlessly integrated.
Ubisoft unveiled The Crew at E3 in June. The game is in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
CVG said in its first The Crew preview that the game "already looks more promising than both Sony and Microsoft's flagship next-gen racers".
The Crew features a persistent online world that lets you group up with friends and play as a crew in races and events. A live demonstration at E3 2013 showed an illegal street race taking place across New York's Brooklyn Bridge.
