Just look at this bad boy.....

152 points and I'll have 100,000 gamerscore. Took me nearly 6 or so years, and I must admit I never thought I'd reach it.

Absolutely pointless post, but Im so chuffed to be so close. Next stop, level 16 on the PSN!!!

:woot: Just done it. Good old Darkness 2 gave me the last achievements I needed.

All a bit flat now. I was hoping an email from Microsoft telling me Im da man or something. Apparently the average gamerscore for an Xbox owner is about 12K.

Special mention must go to Borderlands. I dusted that off yesterday to get an "easy" 50G (my sons words not mine). It was basically killing the Crawmerax, and god was that bloody hard. It was fine for him, has hes got this awesome shield, but all I did was run around dodging and dieing. A lot.

Just found something equally pointless and meaningless. Someones gone to the trouble to calculate the equivalent values of trophies vs achievements by averaging out scores for a number of games. Heres the results.....

The average Gamerscore of Bronze level Achievements was 16.45G.
The average Gamerscore of Silver level Achievements was 29.75G.
The average Gamerscore of Gold level Achievements was 55.00G.

Didnt mention platinums though?!?!?

Microsoft must have read my post here, because lo and behold......

Microsoft has announced that there’s finally a point to massive Achievement scores, something we always thought Sony would do with their trophy system.

To get started, activate the Rewards system on your Xbox account, and then you’re good to go. If you’ve got between 3,000 and 10,000 Gamerscore you’ll get a little birthday treat (although it’s largely pointless), however, a score of between 10,000 and 25,000 gets you a 1% rebate on Live purchases. A neat idea, but a long time coming.

Even better, if you’ve got over 25,000 Gamerscore, you’ll get 2% of what you spend back each month. It’s applicable to most Marketplace purchases, including Games On Demand, Arcade games, DLC and various avatar items.

The percentages might be small, but every little counts, right?
Only goes up to 25K gamerscore, so I now get.......

LEGEND UNLOCKED! Here's your Reward:

A Special Gift* during your birthday month

2% Rebate on your Xbox LIVE Marketplace purchases EVERY MONTH**

Not bad for free. The small print reckons the approx retail value of my birthday gift is $0.25 USD, so Im guessing it'll be some avatar crap given to me in April.

Yay me!!!
