It seems that the last time i played this i was cruising the verse picking up aliens and getting them to do things.
The game is telling me to pop through the Stargate back to casa de Jelmet but I've never installed a Stargate and the log doesn't tell me where my home planet is :/

I may have to let my house and staff rot and set up a new house on a different planet with blackjack and hookers

You should be able to return to your base via the portal thingys that are in space stations. At least that's how we did it prior to the addition of the stargates. Once on your home planet, you then need to find all of the glyphs (16 in all) to get that planet's portal address, meaning you can then travel to it from any stargate. More details here:

Ah yes. Prior bases are archived I believe but they can be brought back. From what I have read there is some confusion about how to get your old base back. Some are saying that you have to find a habitable base on a planet and it's from there that you can reclaim your base. It doesn't look like you can make a base computer and get it back that way though.

Bumbling from system to system trying to find a suitable 'home' i helped a freighter driver fend off some pirates, he only went and gave me his freighter! Plus frigate!
Sent the frigate on a 3 hour mission and netted me a chill 150,000 added to the 10mil i already had i bought another 3 frigates!
Some good shit.

You have to mine copper and then refine it.

Started this up last night and WOW - its amazing, I have started from scratch, but teh little mini missions are good and introducing you to the new stuff (which for me is lots and lots).

Have had randoms drop into creative mode and wave at me, but apart from that I am just scanning stuff and loving the game!Found this on Reddit for the refinery...

I've been playing from my old original save and the more i play it the more i find that's broken or bugged, i can't use any of my employees as all the quests are bugged, i don't have a blueprint analyser because it's bugged, i dont own half of the blueprints i should have because they're bugged, the list goes on....
Tonight i started fresh, I'm a few hours in and I've already got a B class ship, an A class multitool and an A class freighter, not too shabby.

I suppose it depends on how far you got before Next, if you've already got a top ship and freighter/frigates, farms and 100 mil in the bank it probably won't make the slightest bit if difference.
All i had was a full 48 slot multitool and 10 mil under the space matress, so starting again to play without the bugs was a smart move.

No frigates or anything like that.
Had attempted a first base and buggy,
Then turned it off.

I thought I'd have ago for two hours yesterday ended up playing all day except for half an hour tesco shopping.

Finally getting to grips with all the new changes

Just waiting on the restore base to finally work then I'll have my living glass farm back.

Currently doing loads of missions for nanities think I got around two thousand of them so far.

To be honest could be bothered to re start the game though I have done that on the pc version

I need to retire or win the lottery

It's very, very pretty now and wasn't exactly hideous before. The hazardous survival time seems to be decreased - I popped away for just a moment and came back to a game over screen (again). Pretty easy to top up though.

NO MAN’S SKY THE ABYSS

Hello Everyone!

No Man’s Sky NEXT launched just a couple of months ago. We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the positive response. We are excited to be on this journey with you.

Over the months since release we have been adding new free content, community missions and improvements to No Man’s Sky every week. From small features like allowing players to customise body shape, to large gameplay additions like the Pilgrim motorbike, and companion features such as addition of discovery leaderboards to the Galactic Atlas, allowing the community to track progress between factions.

We have enjoyed posting weekly development updates and highlighting some of what players are up to in our game. It’s so gratifying, and often quite touching, to see how No Man’s Sky and the community have grown and evolved.

We’ve been listening intently, and are hard at work on fixes and improvements. We wanted to share a little news from behind the scenes.

Whilst most of the team have been busy on weekly updates, a handful have been working on something else, our first titled update since NEXT.

A new free update is releasing next week for all players. We’ve called it The Abyss, because it focuses on some of the eerier elements of No Man’s Sky, in keeping with the theme of this season.

This is another small step on a longer journey for us. Thank you for joining us.

Thanks so much,
Sean
