I can't think what I'm doing Saturday. I don't think I'm doing anything and I haven't played GT5 for ages so I shall make the effort to attend.

Aye, nice to be playing again even if I was getting frustrated with how my car wasn't going as fast as everyone else's. How did the NASCAR races go? I was tired and hate NASCAR so I went to bed. I'd have only lost again.

Really enjoyed the evening. I think the only difference between our cars on Saturday Plaxi was that we'd all tweaked the gears to match that of the track. E.g. setting it to 200mph rather than that vehicles crazy default of 280 or something. Tweaking puts the gears closer together giving you accelearation whilst sacrificing top speed, stuff it up and you'll hit the engine limiter on the straight so always opt for more rather than less to factor in slipstreaming.

I really enjoyed the NASCAR. Tried to shut an overtake down into the wall and ended up taking myself out leaving a very pretty and extremely long set of swirly skids all the way into one corner. I then later misjudged fuel capacity and ran out of fuel half way round but just managed to coast back to the pit lane. Must remember to buy the full set of racing tyres as I could have done with the softs on for the last pit to try and catch up the two laps that I was down.

Really enjoyed that racing spec Corvette, a real pleasure to wiz about it. It's a shame DreweP found his had been fitted with a spinning top engine mod.
