So you've just inherited 100K and have a few races to compete in.
You need 2 cars, The first one can be worth up to 25 k. You can buy it new, used or off the internet dealers.
This car cannot be modified at all. What you buy is what you race in. You can treat yourself to an oil change and a new lick of paint (free of charge) but thats it.
There will be a couple of races in this car around smaller tracks (to be confirmed).
Whatever you have left out of your 100k can be spent on another car and doing it up.
If you think a rubbish car with 25k worth of tyres and a huge engine is the way to go, try it. If you think a GTR with a turbo is better than go for it.
Try to find something interesting, again get yourself an interesting paint colour and some free oil, as I wouldnt like you to blow up your engine or appear on track with a dull boring car.
The tracks we race these on will be a bit longer and straighter. Once again we can put suggestions on what tracks on this thread.
There arent going to be any disqualifications if you over spend, Try to be honest though as you would just be cheating yourself. Turning up with Bugatti or Zonda with racing tyes that only cost 75k from the online dealers might just raise a few eyebrows.
I'll be popping the cars I picked up on here later in the week, with details of PP / BHP so you can compare your cars with mine.
Plax cant make this one so we'll save our money on the VW camper van mods till a later date.

Just a reminder about event times when adding to the Events Calendar. You need to untick "all day" and then you can add a start and end time to the event. It's a pain but I haven't yet found a decent way to edit the code so that it is unticked by default.

I've amended the entry for you and added the times in. :)

I'll wait and see what Need for Speed Burnout Most Wanted Paradise looks like at the Eurogamer Expo on Saturday before I decide what to do about GT5.

Theres a small patch up 228mb, which if, like me you have a slow connection could take quarter of an hour to download and install.
Its probably putting the 3 new 79p cars into the game .
I am a bit tempted with a micro purchase this week. Been trying to resist spending a few pennies on something special, but with 1080 free cars available , is there any need to buy one for real monies?

I think it makes it worse when the cars are almost identical.
That Subaru BRZ (?) is just the Toyota GT (which is also the same as the Scion). Also yet another Skyline, as if there wasnt enough ingame already, the new Honda does look nice though.

Back on topic :D Ace when will we know what tracks will be used ?

If I am at home then I'll jump on for a bit.

I'll even show the new DLC cars off for you all.

Ace, with the 25k cars, watch out as some will have sports hard tyres and some will have comfort tyres. And guess which have more grip.

    Phil, I lied.
Bought the Interceptor, but then also bought a Skyline (GTR) for £35,000 and spent the money on that, got Racing Hards and the 20K Turbo. Now its around 539 PP
My £19k car is a Supra, around 414 pp, havent really loked at what tyres its wearing.
Jamie, if you just want to pop on without all the buying and selling then use those Power Point figures on my cars as a guide for what to bring.
Mick, If you want to suggest a couple of tracks for each cars then we'll go with them. Perhaps one thats better for handling and one for speed for each car would be fair?
I think around 5 laps on eash is long enough, we dont really like racess that are too long, I tend to nod off and crash on the endurance races .

Poor Mick could couldn't get a word in edgeways with me and the tractor boy pratling on about nothing. We had a good variety of races , Looks like loopy chose the best cheap car in the Camaro and Mick had a rather well spent 90k on his car. I should have invested my money on some driving lessons.
Little challenges like this make visiting the GT5 garages and trying out some of the 1,100 cars more enjoyable.
If we are racing next week how about some Retro races with cars and a budget from certain regions from similar decades?
