This Saturday's racing will be using 2 different sets plus an 'on the fly' final set of races on whatever we fancy at the time.

Racing Set 1
Cars: 450PP French
Tyres: Sports Hard
Tracks:
  • Deep Forest Raceway - 5 laps
  • Clubman Stage Route 5 - 5 laps
  • Tokyo R246 Reverse - 3 laps

Racing Set 2
Cars: 500PP Classic Muscle Cars (1980 or earlier, US cars e.g. Chevrolet, Mercury, Dodge, Shelby, Pontiac, Plymouth)
Tyres: Sports Medium
Tracks:
  • Cape Ring Periphery 3 laps
  • Laguna Seca raceway 4 laps
  • Circuito de Madrid Reverse 4 laps

Racing Set 3
Cars & tracks tbc on the night

Other Settings
Damage: Light
Boost: Low
Racing Grid Order: Reverse order from previous race results (first track - fastest lap time)

The racing sets tie in with seasonal events that are still available , meaning you can test your cars in these categories on tracks gaining money and XP as you go.

You set the PP of the car in the lobby, and the "spread" (difference between cars) and when you Go To Track a random car is selected for you that meets the room settings criteria.

Is the car selection from the games garage or your own? As most of my vehicles haven't been driven or even have a set of decent tyres on them.

Random cars from the game ;) its a funny mode all cars are almost equal its good to have a few races with it.

I do quite like this mode it as if I remeber rightly you cant do any setup changes, so your ability (or lack of) to set a car up wont matter.

Well I have chosen a 450pp French car, painted it a pretty colour and fiddled with some settings. Taken it for a spin and it seems ok. Not really practiced too much though as I spent more time looking at paint colours than anything else lol. Hopefully I'll be able to choose a muscle car tomorrow afternoon and fiddle with that and get some practice in. Won't get a chance tonight as I'm off out. So I *might* get further up the grid than normal. I'm a step closer than last week anyhow

Step closer than me as well as I still need to pick up the cars and obviously spend an age getting the colour just right. :D

Likely do that Saturday afternoon or maybe early this evening if I can.

My two cars are ready too, although gear raios will probably need tweaking for each track.

Looking forward to tonight. :1thumbup:

Couldn't find a Pontiac Firebird Transam '77 special, a Ford Mustang Fastback '69 or a Chevrolet Impala '67 so settled for a lovely 70s Ford Mustang Mach1. Not sure who that girl is in the background, she insisted on sitting on the phone rather than getting the hell out of shot. :shifty:

Yep,you might be nicely rewarded for the effort :D

I've only chosen my Froggy car, gonna finish my latest ale (Tangle Foot - it's a nice one) and then boot up the PS3 to choose my muscle car. At least I'll have decided on my cars before hand, baby steps and all that. Maybe next week I'll actually get some real practice in.

Henrietta and I will not be able to make it until somewhere between 9 and 10. I will obviously try to make it closer to 9 than 10!
