Ok I joined raptr this morning, can someone explain what it is? As I have an Android phone and there isn't an app so do i need to update it daily via desktop or is it automatic. Added a few peeps and let it post to my twitter but no posts yet.

Anyone using it add me :)

Think of It as a Battlelog for platforms instead of games, I'm on it but I don't really do much with It, It just tracks my gaming and lets Twitter know when I'm ponline.

Raptr would better be described as Facebook for gamers. Raptr itself is a data tracker where you are freely allowing them to track your gaming habits in order to quantify your being for analysis. After that they'll just sell you so that other's can more specifically target you with advertising. Facebook does exactly the same thing monetising your interactions to better target you as a consumer.

I'm concerned that you signed up to something JK without knowing what it is. Ace did the same and has been lamenting how great Raptr is but when asked what it's benefits where he said he'd get back to me on that one.

Raptr, for the PS3 requires manual time input but I understand that the service can track your trophies. Xbox users get a fuller service from using Raptr due to more relaxed API structure. Although I'm still stuggling to see the value of such a site as it is. If Raptr could take a step forwards and get Raptr tracking built into games so that data like global accuracy, global k/d (where appropriate) could be tracked then I think it'd be worth it. That said though, the internet and gaming world is full of stat padders which abuse systems devaluing the data for all.

Herm invited me to raptr a long time ago.

I use it to track my Xbox more and my secondary non PSN plus ID.

You can get rewards for certain things. But I tend to ignore those.

See my sig file below.

I joined Raptr a couple of weeks ago. Not really used it that much but Darth gave me the idea to get a sig so off I toddled. It seems to track my PC gaming better than anything else. It amuses me that I seem to be elite though.
I am always loathe to share my details from other sites with things like this though so I haven't bothered to give it my Twitter details or anything.

EDIT - those 77 hours in my sig are from my PC
