I loved the Vegas series, played them both to death with @Martok and a few others.

Some Alpha footage surfaced for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege. Over 10 minutes of defending the hostage which looked great but rather unfortunately has been quashed by Ubisoft as the link I was going to provide has since been removed due to copyright.

Taken down already.

And just for a laugh that embedded video link has been blocked by my works system and flagged as "Prohibited by URL database (Pornography & Adult Material)."

Watched all the videos with interest last night. Some great features and I'm liking the look if the cover system. Restricting character classes will have an interesting effect on how the title is played.

The round time seems brutal at 3 minutes. Let's hope we see more game modes and that Terror Hunting makes a return.

Gameplay is similar to Payday, But it looks very Counterstrike. It's not classic R6, Doubt I'll be getting it.

Disappointing but I'd rather they delay and improve the game further than release something that's broken. We've had enough of these already.

Rainbow Six Siege to ship with ten maps

Rainbow Six Siege will launch with ten playable maps, but not due to any shortage of ideas.

Rainbow Six Siege will deliver ten maps out of the box. Level designer Benoit Deschamps told PCGamer that although the team had over 50 ideas for map settings, they narrowed it down to ten.

You could say variety is the one thing that will make or break a game like Rainbow Six Siege. The number of different variations in class set-ups is all well and good, but if you’re shooting bad guys in the same locations a few times, it will get old.

That of course varies from one person to another. After all, people still play Counter-Strike’s de_dust to this day, and Siege certainly shares some similarities with that game.

As for Siege, ten maps won’t just be what you’re getting out of it. According to Deschamps, the development team is already working on more content to be added post-launch.

Siege is due for a beta September 24. The full game comes out December 1 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Whilst VG247 reported above that the game will ship with 10 maps, Eurogamer are reporting that it will ship with 11 maps and that all DLC maps will be free:

All Rainbow Six Siege DLC maps will be free, Ubisoft confirms
Solid copy.

Rainbow Six Siege's DLC maps will be free, Ubisoft has promised.

The team-based multiplayer shooter launches with 11 maps, Ubisoft said, and in an effort to encourage players to stick with it, all post-launch maps will be free to download.

Here's a statement Ubisoft sent over this morning:

"At launch, Rainbow Six Siege will have 11 maps, playable both day or night, all using the full potential of our Real Blast destruction technology. In addition, all post-launch maps will be downloadable for free.

"We want players to stay with us for the long term and have ambitious post-launch plans that we will detail at a later stage."

Rainbow Six Siege is due out on 1st December 2015. A closed beta begins on 24th September.

Says it all really, It's very very broken/shit and they know it but they're gonna release it anyway and mug people off to try and claw back some money.
