Does anyone use one?
I struggle with using the keyboard/mouse combo, When I say struggle I mean hate.
Not all games are pad friendly but after a bit of Googling I found Xpadder, Which Is a free program.
I was a bit overwhelmed at first as I had no Idea what I was doing, But you can download pre made game profiles and controller images from the Xpadder forum.
After playing around with a pre made profile, I'd created one I was happy with for playing SWTOR.
And last night I created a game profile for Minecraft (Instead of going to bed!) I even mapped the mouse scroll wheel to the left and right D pad
I know a control pad doesn't have the same amount of keys as a keyboard but Xpadder has the ability to add shift buttons, Allowing you to add upto 7 additional layouts totalling around 190 different keystrokes on one controller.
I would definitely recommend Xpadder for playing PC games with a controller, If you're that way inclined

You can use wired/wireless PS3/Xbox and PC controllers, But I had a bit of trouble with the wireless PS3 pad so I bought a Saitek speedlink strike controller. What is Xpadder?
Xpadder simulates the keyboard and mouse using your gamepad
