I just want to try and get an idea of what people like/dont like.

The way I was going to carry on after Saturdays NSX racing was to continue along the same sort of lines, i.e. I set a Car/track/laps combination.

To gauge opinions it would help if those who do (or possibly would ) play could answer the following.

Would you prefer to pick your own car within the event guidelines (pp limit etc)

I try to get each race at roughly 10 minutes duration, would you prefer longer/shorter races? (how much )

I will keep a NASCAR race in the mix as everyone seems to enjoy turning left, For this weekends race the boost will be turned OFF. This is mainly because any penalty you get from pitting is wiped out by the boost effect. I shall turn the slipstream up though . Is the 30 laps we have been doing about right?

If you have any ideas for events/races put them in here so we can see if we can do something with them.

Sorry to be predictable but I'm pretty easy going. I like single make racing and I also like to pick a car within a point limit so that's no help!

I would like to try the odd longer race, especially when we have a good turnout.

NASCAR again is good, I like the sound of your rule changes but again, it does need a good turn out.

Sorry to be of little help

I'd like to see more weather variety. Like rain. Also snow & dirt tracks with rally cars. I might drive better in the rain as that's all it does here.

Car wise I quite like the shuffle races. I find I do better with thoses than when we can choose our own cars but with restricted PP. Probably because I'm not very good at setting my own cars up.

Maybe for a change we could also have drift competitions? I can't drift but it would be something different. Does it let you set up drift ones on multi player?

I confess to going through a bored phase with GT5.

Weather is not a problem although the settings for it seem very hit-n-miss, I personally hate rallying but if enough want to do some thats not a problem either.

Shuffle races are always good for a laugh, we didnt have any last Saturday as we ran out of time.

Drifting is fine but you cant set up a drifting room, so you dont get any scores.

Noted that by your recent absence. If we can keep getting the same sort of number as last Sat it would be great, especially for the NASCAR race as that gets better and better the more that are there.

I'm currently not racing online much on GT5.

If I do its with other friends, and they are hour qualifying followed by a 2 hour race. Its challenging, even to finish some weeks. And this is what I prefer as its like racing in the real world.

PS I think drifting shouldn't be in the 'Real Driving Simulator', it's not quick, you don't see F1 or Le Mans drivers drifting round corners.

I love rallying, it takes real skill controlling a rally car (do it in real life so would know this).

Thats true you dont but the drifting isnt about speed.

You dont see F1 or Le Mans drivers handbrakeing round a hairpin on a forest stage either so should rallying be in "Real Driving Simulator" ??

The rallying in GT is the weak point, as its way off. Compared to Dirt or WRC. Rallying is more skilled then F1 or Le Mans. Roads are narrower and no barriers.

Wouldnt say its more or less skilled, they are different and require different skills.

But yeah it is the weak point in GT5 and I for one wouldn't miss it if it wasnt there.

Is it possible for each player to bring a custom built track into an event?
