• Welcome to Senior Gamers!

Senior Gamers [SNR] is a community for mature gamers formed in 2012. We started as PlayStation gamers but now we are fully multi-platform with members also playing on PC, Xbox, Switch and other platforms.

We used this website from June 2012 until March 2020. Technology moved on during this time and we have now moved to Discord. If you are familiar with it already you'll know how quick and easy it is to use. If you haven't tried it yet, you really should!

You can browse this archived website to see what we posted over the years.

You can join us on Discord to see what we've posted more recently and to chat. Click on the link below to find us. We hope to see you there!

There have been some updates to media embedding in the background and as part of this, I have added media support for Twitter. This means you can add tweets in posts and they will appear in a Twitter card.

To add a tweet, firstly find on Twitter the tweet you want to share. So, for example, let's say I want to share this tweet from the Senior Gamers timeline

If I click on the tweet, it will take me to a page showing just that tweet. The URL of the page looks like this:

https://twitter.com/SeniorGamers/status/544889100491169792

Note that it has "status" in the URL and a series of numbers at the end. That's the type of URL you are looking for.

Simply copy the URL, then use the Media button

in the text editor and paste in the URL.

The result will be:

So now if there's some interesting information on Twitter you want to share, you no longer have to faff with copying it and using quotes and saying who it's from, simply follow the steps above.

If there are other sites that you would use if you could embed videos from that aren't in the current list, then post a request in the Website News & Support forum and I'll look into getting them added. :)
