One of this week's Monday Night Random Game Night Events.

As voted by you Bad Company 2.

If all people for this event want to play Vietnam then that's fine. But as some may not have it its BC2 have an internal vote on this thread if you want to play Vietnam.

Moved to the 17th as two events on the same night is gonna stop one event being full :)

I played for a short time on it yesterday. Had problems with lag in all e a battlefields inc vietnam. I seem to always have lag issues on sunday nights though. Gonna try them tonight. Btw i will be on this and have a week off soon so might post an event up around 18th for vietnam if anyone has it.

Ace it's probably the EA ports, some routers don't seem to handle the UPnP very well (like all the fecking routers I have) and require port forwarding to be set up or DMZ set (DMZ will automatically reset itself on some routers too conveniently)

Is it still expensive in the PS store? I used to love playing on Veitnam. Its such a simplified game but has a great sixtees feel to it.

I think it's still about £7.
It's a great mode as everyone is on a level playing field with the weapons. There are no attachments or higher ranks having access to better weapons etc. Unfortunately not an awful lot of people play it anymore. I have a 98% completion rate for the game. I keep meaning to go back and get a 100 kills with all the weapons to get my last trophy.

I have no idea! I think you're correct in what you've done but we'll have to wait and see.

Tonights the night. Just a quick reminder and warning to all.
If you want to be unfriended by the coolest senior in the club, dont turn up for this event tonight.
You have been warned.

Re: Mon 17 Sep 8:30pm - Bad Company 2 - Your Momma Is A Hooa

A clutch of rounds played. Rush first for some hardcore spawn camping as attackers before being walked over after our side quit as defenders. Then conquest which I enjoyed and wasn't so bad. Bringing buildings down on folk is something I miss but I can get my fix in BF3 crushing people under debris. All in all it showed just how much BF3 improved the formula and confirmed this as a trade in. Moved onto BF3 afterwards and had an amazing night.

Re: Mon 17 Sep 8:30pm - Bad Company 2 - Your Momma Is A Hooa

I concur, this session really showed just how much of a leap BF3 is and how much it has improved on "features" such as spawn camping.

I doubt i'd ever play it again now to be honest, but will keep hold of the game incase we have a closed room someday.

As Ace quite rightly pointed out last night it really doesn't help that we're all out of practice playing against folk who obviously either didn't like or didn't upgrade to BF3 and still play this very regularly. For me the major factor was not being used to the guns or the differences in the way running is implemented in BFBC2 (something i've never liked, but got used to).

Best left as a fond memory of the good times we've all had on BFBC2 rather than go back and realise how badly it's been left behind by it's sequel.

Sadly, that's probably the best way to leave it.
