I bought Auto 3g Connection From the Android Market.

It allows you to connect to 3G just by opening an app when your out and about, You can also set It to disconnect when you close the app, Saves draining the battery by keeping It connected all the time.

The lite version only allows one app connection, But paying the £1.49 to unlock It allows infinite app connections.
As far as I can tell It doesn't need ROOT either. It gets :1thumbup: :1thumbup: :1thumbup: :1thumbup: :1thumbup: out of 5

A couple I'd recommend for Android users
  • Wifi Analyzer which is great for getting the best out of your wireless network
Simple Last.FM for those that listen to music on their phones and like to scrobble
gStrings an utterly superb string instrument tuner

I have Wifi Analyser, Came in handy when i was using an old router as a wireless access point on the top floor.
