I've recently been having issues viewing embedded Youtube videos, whether this is in the middle of a forum thread or via the Media gallery.

This only seems to occur when using Google Chrome on my work computer (will check Google Chrome on my mac later).

Basically the thread/page loads up instantly as expected but is showing as still loading in and just has a blank space where the video would be, if left long enough I get the following screen:

Just to clarify, this doesn't appear to be my work internet connection blocking youtube content as I can watch youtube videos fine on that browser and the very same page loads fine using IE.

This appears to be a Chrome issue that affects some people and not others, going by some discussions I've seen on Google's product forums.

If you've not done so already, clear your cache and cookies as that seems to have worked for some people. Also make sure you're using the latest version of Chrome. If that doesn't work, go to Settings > Advanced Settings, then under system uncheck the box tha says "enable hardware acceleration when available" and then reset the browser (restart) - this has worked for a few people.
