• Welcome to Senior Gamers!

Senior Gamers [SNR] is a community for mature gamers formed in 2012. We started as PlayStation gamers but now we are fully multi-platform with members also playing on PC, Xbox, Switch and other platforms.

We used this website from June 2012 until March 2020. Technology moved on during this time and we have now moved to Discord. If you are familiar with it already you'll know how quick and easy it is to use. If you haven't tried it yet, you really should!

A bevy of classic video games are now available to play for free via your browser, including The Oregon Trail, King's Quest, Wolfenstein 3D, Metal Gear and more.

Polygon reports on Internet Archive's release of the Software Library, which uses an EM_DOSBOX in-browser emulator to run its programs – in this case, notable retro titles such as Prince of Persia and Ms. Pac-Man.

Console classics like Mega Man, Street Fighter II, The Lion King and the Sega Genesis release of Aladdin are also among the 2,300+ titles to choose from.

Internet Archive notes that the library's browser-based emulation is still in beta and may run improperly at times. A FAQ is provided here, for those interested.

Personally I think that the trouble with this sort of thing is that "classic" now generally means "you loved it when you was a kid but just look how crap it is today"

Thats my official grumpy point of view.

Im still waiting for the Kickstarter campaign to be successful for the upcoming ZX Spectrum remake. Its more console, and not home computer, but its built in the style and is promising to come with 1000+ games pre installed with a promise of the entire Spectrum library being made available for download.
Driller and Target Renegade here I come!

I just binned a whole pile of original MS-DOS games whilst clearing out the old flat. Simply don't have the space to keep or time to eBay. :(
