Hi my name is Andrew and I'm a 40 year old gamer from Swansea. I'm looking to join your Ally group as I'm a member of Old Age Playstationers. I heard about your site from a little sheep on the hillside and am impressed after taking a peek.

My gaming history goes back to the late 70s when I used to play Pong on my first console. I think it was a Binatone console which was black and white, very limited but great fun.

I then moved on to the Atari console with Donkey Kong, Burger time etc before hitting the Commodore family with the Vic 20. I think my best gaming days as a youngster came from the Commodore 64 with the brilliant catalogue of games before moving onto the Amiga 500. I then later moved on to various consoles including the SNES, N64, PS1, PS2 and the PS3 to which I do all my gaming on at the moment.

I do prefer online multiplayer games to single player campaigns. I was an original beta tester on the PS2 and I've been playing online ever since. I'm currently playing Battlefield 3 solidly and looking forward to upcoming games such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Black Ops 2 and Resident Evil 6.

My PSN is 'Wilks' and hope to see you online soon. :waving:

Yay, another gamer in his 40s! :D

Welcome to the new place, Wilks. As you see we got our inspiration from Hope Gaming. We've got Tapatalk too. ;) Shame you can't see the chat bar system in action as that's for Senior Citizens only but you can read about it on the home page. :)

You remember Pong too! I think a cousin of mine had Pong, I recall having a few goes on it. I think the console wasn't cheap though and why my family didn't have one. You went the 'posh' route into gaming with those home computers, I went the 'cheap' route with the ZX81 and ZX Spectrum. I so wished I had a Commodore 64 like some of my friends had!

What were your favourite games on the PS1/PS2? Did you play the original Killzone on there or Battlefield Modern Combat? I had these and have stuck with both series through the console generations. I know you're on BF3 a lot and have made great efforts in promoting the game across your community and bringing new members in.

I suppose as I've already made your other half, Jenxy_ an Ally, I'd better let you in too. ;)

I hope to see you online soon. :)

Thanks Martok, I think Resident Evil stood out as being one of my favourite PS1 titles. It was a great survival horror game with the choice of playing 2 different characters.

PS2 memories go back to playing hundreds of hours on the Socom series. I was sent the Killzone multiplayer as a beta tester but did not enjoy it at all. I put many hours into KZ2 but moved on after a couple of months.

I'll try out Tapatalk next week. I'm changing my phone to the Galaxy S3 so I just need to check out some deals there first. :)

I feel a bit left out. There is absolutely no welsh blood in my family, and i've traced my family tree back to about 1680. havent been to wales since 1965 (LLLandudoknowgochgochgoch) as a child. Perhaps I'll renew my passport and pay it a visit in the near future it sound really nice.

I'm not Welsh but I used to live on the Wirral which is next to North Wales. And I like leaks. Does that count?
