NASCAR NIGHTMARE

A night dedicated to the lumbering beasts that are NASCAR.

Looking to do a longer oval race, followed by the usual mix of other tracks (T.B.A.)

NO MODS ALLOWED, Tyres left to your discretion as Tyre wear/fuel will be set to maximum.

Unfortunately Halo & I won't be able to make this one as we're out to dinner a friend's.

Sounds like a good evening for those who can make it, we look forward to hearing about it next week. Hopefully NASCAR will come up again as we'd both like to try it at some point.

I didn't think I would like nascar, but if you have catch up on high and a dozen or more laps with tyre wear etc its really very good on GT5, looking forward to it.

I'm up for NASCAR anyway, but know from experience its all about racing lines and slip streaming if your good at following and not overtaking until the last corner then your a winner

I'm going to have a test later at an oval to see how well the tyres last.

This could be fun, @ Daytona oval a set of Racing soft lasted for the outlap then 6 quick laps by which time they were almost all knackered. Not only that but in that time it had used 75% of a tank of fuel.

How long did your racing hards last

I didnt try them, once I saw that everyone was going to have to stop for fuel I didnt try anymore.

So if you do a 15 lap race, that means that you have to make one pit stop for fuel, but might be better off with 2 stops using soft tyres rather than 2 stops using hards?

As it only takes about 45secs per lap I was thinking of doing a 30 lap race
