For those who may not be aware there's going to be a Sony Press Conference this evening at 6pm (BST)

    http://gamescom.eu.playstation.com/

Couple of rumours circulating but one being that there's going to be a special guest and special announcement.

EDIT : Other mumblings are about the release of the PS3 Anorexic; a redesign of the Slim.

Need for Speed : Most Wanted - looks like an upgrade to Burnout Paradise just with real world cars. The cars are all available at the start if you can find them but they are upgraded as you drive them. Looks good but it also looks very much like Burnout Paradise.

    EA: Press Conference.

Medal of Honour : Warfighter - basically co-op BF3 with classes and a counted number of enemies to pop. Likely more random on it's spawn. Looks ok.

EDIT : Oh and access to the BF4 beta but you already know that.

Looks like a couple of games just there that i'll need to have a looksie at.

Burnout Paradise with a taste of Need for Speed could be awesome.

BF3 co-op you say? again, could be a nice distraction.

This year for Christmas I want more time to spend playing games.

"New" BF3 trailer regarding forthcoming expansions featuring Aftermath with a few pictures of the busted up buildings at the end being the only new content in the vid.

EDIT : Also BF3 + Premium is to be released as a bundle in September. Only of benefit to those who havn't already used an online pass to unlock BF3.

Sony conference kicks off as expected with them promoting the PS Vita.

Little Big Planet with tilt and touch input combined with the normal input methods expands the scope for creating. Release date September but missed the actual date, sorry.

Playstation all stars next. A beat-em-up that features as many Sony owned characters as possible.

All Stars is one of three titles that have the new cross buy feature. Buy the title on the PS3 and get the Vita version for free. Sly Cooper and Ratchet & Clank Q Force are also included in this feature.

It's should be noted that this is similar to the way Zen Pinball 2 will be available and cross compatible with the PS3/PSVita.

New IP from media molecule on the Vita called TearAway.

A paper based IP; picture the amazing Okami but using the multitouch system of the Vita. E.g. being able to push on the back of the device and "your finger" appears in the game world. Looks a grand romp for those on the go.

Little Big Planet gets a new "cross control" pack later this year. It allows you to use a Vita as a controller for the PS3. It'll dual screen game but also allow you to use the Vita's extended input options of front and rear touch.

EDIT : The dual screen seems actually only to be an additional thing used for maps and extra information. Everyone remember the PSP rear view mirror mode for GT5?

EDIT EDIT : The more I see it just looks like they're reflogging the LBP Move control system just this time using touch rather than tracked motion.

EDIT EDIT EDIT : Ah right they have extended full lbp play to the Vita as well. Nice if you have one but not a reason to buy a Vita.

Red Dead Redemption will be September's free title for PS Plus members.

Also cloud storage is being increased from 150Mb to 1Gb.

PS Plus is being extended to Vita as well which may mean we'll see free titles for the Vita as well. Now we're getting somewhere.

PS Plus will be 25% cheaper during two weeks in September.

    Onto Move titles now.

New children's targeted IP called Wonderbook. The first book is co written by JK Rowling and set in the Potter verse. Nothing new but nice to see it in action. Looks very similar to Eye Pet in it's style. Martok's gonna love it.

EDIT : Very Eye Pet. Diggs Nightcrawler is the second title. Looks really good. Like an digital interactive pop up book. Walking With Dino's is also an IP that has been pulled into the Wonderbook realm.

EDIT EDIT : Oh, oh. Lock up your children. Disney has also partnered with the Wonderbook IP.

FIFA is up next. Basically they've added move control. Cute and looks accurate but well it's football innit.

Carrying on with the Move theme.....

Until Dawn is a new teenage horror IP created specifically with the Move control system in mind. We Know What They Did Last Summer, Scream, Blair Witch, Ringo Remake.

Cripes they said teenage but that looked distinctly adult near the end of the trailer!

Puppeteer by Japan Studio. Inspired by the need to re-awaken the developer's son's imagination. It's about a puppet that loses it's head and can change the world using other heads like Wurzel Gummage. Looks like a grand platform game/story. Visuals do seem to be "3D" in their exaggeration so expect to see support for Sony TV's as well.
