Can I have a volunteer to stand at the top of the Firestorm tower so I can burn them to death for an assignment please?

Shows how loveable us Kiwis are. I did the same to Plaxipoo when she batted for the other team but got no Public Displays of Hatred (PDh).

Must just be your winning personality c00ky.

Well, you know, you can actually hit things, whereas @c00ky just plays in the kitchen with your wife and has a thing for marshmallows. So it's slightly more upsetting when he potato dips you. I may never recover from the humiliation.

@Bogus4Real as the resident tank whore, what's your load out? I'm going to try and get the 173 kills I need for the Phantom assignment but I never last 5 minutes in a vehicle. Oh and any particular driving tips etc? Ta

My tip for getting those kills is to get into a vehicle with Bogus, he's a damn fine driver but always gets into situations where a gunner will be able to score plenty of kills. :1thumbup:

From what I have seen its HE shells, Active Protection and the standard anti personnel gunner weapon.

Bogus does alot of corner peeking with a tank and then after getting a tank kill he withdraws to heal up, when I remember and am with him I also pack a repair tool as a gunner....

More than happy to be a gunner spotter/repair tool with you @Plaxinator

Well I should either be cutting the grass or paint stripping the spare room. I can't be bothered doing either so I'm going to have lunch (it's that quandary where you haven't had breakfast and it's nearly lunch, so what do you have?!) and try and play I a tank.

Let's take a ride together someday @Plaxinator ;)
I would recommend Thermal, active protection, heavy machine gun and ordinary rounds for the main canon.
This setup is good for infantry harvesting (kill a lot of soldiers) and works okay against other tanks.
Main tips:
1. Don't be to aggressive if you don't have your own infantry (enginers) with you. If you got plenty of friendly infantery around you wont be spammed with rockets in the same way.
2. If you have to be aggressive, back out before the enemy spawn back as enginers.
3. When in tank duel, try to hit the other tank in an 90" angle. Behind is best, side is second. Also try to hold your own tank out of straight angels to minimize incoming damage.
4. DONT BE A SITTING DUCK!!! Always be on the move and don't stand still (you will get C4'ed).
5. As @c00ky said, back out before you risk to blow up. You can always come back and kill the rest later.
6. Corner peaking. The idea is to to hit the enemy while he blows his shot. If you can trick hem to shoot to early, you can get out and shoot without risk.
7. Have a gunner and talk to him or her. In a duel, the gunner should take care of soldiers with c4, rock launchers and mines. Therefor the gunner should have thermal.
8. Use your mobility to strike hard in one place and then move quickly to another before the enemy have a chance to regroup.
