Hi All,

As you may have heard me touch upon this subject, and the fact since I started with SNR on Warframe, I have had a quick few colour changes as I searched for a design of 'Frame and Sentinel that suited me, but not just as a one off colour choice for an individual Warframe, but as a long term colour 'ident' for me and my 'Frames throughout my time here in SNR...

Yeah, I've gone for what I should have had in the beginning as it's my favourite colour! RED - Doh!

My Sentinel's will also all follow their own colour scheme being white with black, and red energy.

So I thought I'd put this out there to see if anyone else shares my thinking that having a fixed colour scheme can work wonders in the fast paced action of Warframe, especially when most players will have multiple 'Frames and getting to know each others colours can only be a good thing for everyone?

But of course, this is up to you, if it's not your thing it's not really a problem, it's something I did when I ran my GT5 Series, we had our chosen race numbers and a colour scheme, figured it would work nice in Warframe to an extent :)

I intended on having a green theme to my Warframes and my first, Loki, was a relatively bright shade. However I didn't follow that on with Oberon as I chanced across a colour combination that I liked when messing around with the random colours option. Now I'm thinking that I'll go for something different again when I move onto Nyx.

So will you have any sort of common colour? Say your energy colour could remain the same throughout?

I go for lighter and brighter colours. Its only so I stand out more clearly in dark spaces. Ive also got an energy scarf which provides some ambient light.

Most of mine are white with red or gold highlights. I've been sticking to gold and hot pinks for the 'frame energy colours so that ability use can be picked out in a fire fight. Nyx's mind control ability being the one that needs highlighting the most as it's a waste of energy when everyone turns around and kills a powerful target that is at the time working for us.

Think I'll be adding bright colours to mine so it's obvious on the battlefield

Right. My powers are yellows and I usually use green and orange as the main colours for the frame.

Saying that, with my new frame im going with greys and the likes coz he's meant to be evil, no eco :hmm:

It's been a great weekend for Warframe! Not only have I levelled loads of my gear, but I've also increased my Warframe stock... :D

Excalibur will always hold a special place with it being my first (and only really growing due to the help from the SNR!) and with getting properly deep into the game, and inspiring me to come up with a fixed colour scheme!

Warframe_20140519210659.png

This then lead to my second build...having the blueprints but lacking the resources to build it, my time online has allowed me to obtain the Warframe I'd wanted for a LONG time - Ash. Those Alien/Predator looks were just too much to resist!

Warframe_20140524170218.png

By this time I started looking at what weapons I felt 'fitted' each of my 'Frames...After deciding that Excalibur would stick with the Skana and have a bow [Paris] as it's primary, I knew I wanted to get back into some assault rifle action with my next builds. The Burston was key to my plan for Ash. I wanted something reminiscent of the M41-A Pulse Rifle from Aliens, the accuracy and burst nature factored into this, and once I'd increased it's stopping power I was set! During a firefight I can't help hear Cpl Hicks "...remember, short controlled bursts!" :D

As you know I'm quite the Melee 2.0 convert, so it was all about the 'Heavy Weapons' when it comes to my 2nd and 3rd (can you sense a reveal coming???) Warframe. The Ash (in my chosen colour) also reminded me of a comic book 'anti-hero' of mine - SPAWN, and the Scindo in black just looked the part!
"Ash be nimble, Ash be quick, hit them around the head and neck with your double edged stick!"

Now this brings me onto my sudden need for a 3rd Warframe, what with levelling everything I have currently to 30 last night...What makes this so good is I've had a weapon blueprint that you can only now get from the Log-in bonus (making it a bit more of an exclusive) I just knew everything was timed to perfection to put together my 3rd build! The GORGON RISES!!! coupled with my not so new Akmagnus [24] secondary and my second piece of 'Heavy Metal' the Galantine for my Melee, I'm looking forward to unleashing VAUBAN on the solar system!!!
