Or a serial killer. They all seem to be lorry drivers too.

It reminds me of the train simulator games too.

If I knew computer programming, I'd create the Motor Fleet Underwriting simulator. You have to move bits of paper around your desk to look busy when your boss passes. Avoid getting the drinks in by picking up the receiver when someone mentions theyre thirsty. And finally perfect your work-laugh by a series of Quick Time Events, so you too can give a hearty guffaw at some goon's (who's senior to you) ridiculous innuendo/poor pun to further yourself within the game.

Now who wouldnt want to play that!!

Have played the demo, found it strangely absorbing. Great when played with manual clutch and H box gears + ratio splitter!

Well, myself and by the looks of it, Ace, have succumbed and purchased this game.
I'm rather enjoying it. The graphics are totally shite even on ultra high settings though.
I've set it up using my wired Xbox controller at the moment but may think about digging out the wheel. I still need to tweak the sensitivity and stuff I think for my controller, I'm sure I'm not supposed to veer off in the opposite direction all the time and wedge myself on the central reservation of the M4. I also can't get the hang of reversing it. This whole steer in the opposite direction to where you want to trailer to go totally eludes me.
I like the fact that you can also add your own music and radio station streams. So you can pootle along to your next job listening to all your favourite tunes.

Personally I wouldn't pay full price for it as I don't think it's that good, but certainly at half price it's well worth a crack.

I bought the full version, It works really well with my wheel . All my trips , expeirence with the demo version have carried over to the full version. I'm gonna make some trips into Europe today to get some money in before I buy my first truck and start my Ace trucking empire. I quite like the radio , you can select a hundred or so live radio stations, found myself listening to a french hot 80s radio station and a funky Dutch one, soon I will be fluent in Dutch .

OK, so I've fiddled with the Live_Streams file (I opened & edited it with Notepad).
C:\My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
So now I have some of my favourite radio stations hooked up to listen to in game.

If you're interested here are the streams. Copy and paste the streams at the bottom of the post directly under the existing ones. Remember to change the stream data number accordingly e.g. stream_data[191]: change the 191 to the number after the last stream you have (so if your last stream number is 180 change it to 181)

If you have a particular radio station you want to listen to you can find the direct stream here; http://www.listenlive.eu/uk.html
If you can't figure it out let me know and I'll sort it for you.

Code:
stream_data[191]: "http://mp3-a8-32.as34763.net:80/|Absolute 80s"
stream_data[192]: "http://mp3-a9-32.as34763.net:80/|Absolute 90s"

Welsh radio?
Think I'll stick to French Hot80s
I've been editing the extra buttons on my wheel earlier on so I can do everything now from my race chair.
I'm now a Happy trucking chappy.

i'm now off to make a 6 hour real time video of me driving my Volvo FH16 with trailer full of volatile chemicals from Innsbruck to Dusseldorf. I'll post it on here later and probably promote it to the front page, as it will be gripping watching it.

I was going to upload a real time video of me crossing Belgium in my hired truck but ran out of disk space so here's a shorter sample of me in a hired truck that kept breaking down on the motorways.
I didn't spend much time editing it, will make a better job of the next one. It shows my immense driving skills off and shows how crazy these foreigners drive, (look in my right mirror)

My trips across Europe started paying off, I now own a rather nice DAF and a poxy hovel of a depot in Sheffield. I plan to open a proper depot in Roermond , Netherlands or Luxemburg, which are a bit more central, and has tax advantages. I'll get a left hand drive truck to use in Europe and hire an English driver to drive my DAF out of Sheffield.
