You can expect three new vehicles, including a dirt bike and a dropship which "introduces the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports", plus the return of Capture The Flag mode. From the boxart, it looks like two people can ride a bike at once.

All courtesy of Official Xbox Magazine, but still relevant.

Not much details I know, but I did like the sound of the dropship. Not too bothered about the dirt bike, although it could be quick for getting to a-b like the quad bike.

It's sounding like it may be more "big" maps, although I doubt they'd make them on par with Armoured Kill as the large scale was the unique feature of that DLC.

It's a shame really that this final DLC would have been as good as completed by the time they got feedback about Aftermath as the general consensus of that DLC is that it was by far the best.

Anyway, hopefully it'll fit in well with the other maps we're playing...not convinced on dirt bikes, but we'll see how well they work soon enough.

I'm liking the sound of dirt bikes. I fancy col in a chopper, me on a dirt bike, find a huge jump, bail mid air and end up sitting next to col in the chopper! Excellent, can't wait.

A few more details......

So it looks like there'll be two new modes to play (Capture The Flag and Air Superiority), 4 new maps and dirt bikes, dropships, & anti-aircraft machines.

Not long to go  :1thumbup: :woot:

We should be getting another video today according to the Premium schedule.

Hopefully it'll be some more End Game stuff.

So far it's looking good.

I love capture the flag. It's a game mode that's been missing from BF forever. CTF was pretty much all I played on Warhawk back before BF came out. Let's just hope that the mode is available on more than just a handful of maps.

That's not gonna happen, the two new game modes will only be available on the new maps included in the DLC pack as they've done when introducing every other game mode.

It would be nice to see a late patch maybe another couple of months down the line that integrates more of the DLC stuff into the rest of the game.

We could see maps able to accept most game modes (albeit only using sections of maps for the Close Quarters game modes)
Vehicles that were introduced later on earlier maps, quads would work everywhere, Mobile Artillery would work on bigger maps like Kharg Island and Caspian Border, even the Gunship would work on some of the larger maps too.

If they could do that it would make the game 100% better and keep it fresh for another year after implementing it without the levels of hard work required to create whole new DLC packs.

The reality of it is that this isn't going to happen and they'll use the excuse of non-premium players wouldn't be able to participate.

Theres a 2045MB patch to download first, before you get to the DLC.

Not sure if the DLC is live yet. Will post here with size if it is after patch has downloaded.

It should do, but I wouldnt wait for it to do it, as it'll probably want to do loads of others at the same time too.

The DLC is there. I had to get it from the Store and not in-game again (still free for Premium members). This is 1760MB, so thats 3.8GB worth of downloading peeps.

See you all online!! :1thumbup:

I just want to point out that I ****ing hate the playstation store.

Rang the wife to get her to try to find the DLC on the store, I gave up in the end as it wasn't in the what's new section, wasn't listed under add-ons for BF3 (like all the other add-ons) and I have no ****ing idea what the store looks like currently.

So my system is currently downloading the patch and i'll set the DLC away when I get home. :(

I agree. The Store is utter shit now. Loading pages takes forever if you can find anything at all.
