EGX is on as usual this year, though this time it is in ExCel, London.

If any Seniors are going it would be nice to be able to meet up.

Currently on Saturday 19th October I'm going, as is @HaloJ, @Crambar and hopefully @themaskedmarvel.

Anyone else thinking of going?

Tickets are still available currently but the early entry ones on the Saturday have been sold out for a while. Standard ones are still available but they won't be around forever.

I really hadn't planned to go again (was a little scunnered at the last one I attended though it was fantastic to meet so many lovely people) however the day after my birthday, you say? Hmmm....

Early entries all sold out now, even with the Virgin access.

Finger hovering over this though, especially given our experience last time...

What was the experience last time?

Personally I'm going to meet up with other Seniors (I've never met @Crambar or @themaskedmarvel but play online a lot with them) and the show in some ways is a bonus, though of course it would be nice if that's a good experience. For us though it's a little easier to get to then it is for you!

Meeting folks last time was ace @Dogstar @Plaxinator @HERMAN_JELMET @Skarpar @Waylander @pablojedi and possibly @WetPaintGaming etc however the actual queues and actually getting to see anything wasn't much fun. We had early birds and even that didn't help the queues. I missed out on PSVR and Horizon (they literally cut the queue at my toes) which felt like a massive slap in the face.

Some were luckier than us and I think @Skarpar had the right idea in getting a full pass so saw most of what he wanted to see prior to the weekend's mayhem, so I think if we go then we'll do something similar this time. Plus it means I get to be in Lahndahn for my birthday. Saturday might be a bit sore but if I'm meeting folks rather than queueing, it'll be grand though maybe a bit melted! As I'm not Russian, I may well be propping up the bar instead of queueing! šŸ˜‚.

Did I mention the queues btw?

There were a few queues.
Queues upon queues.
Queue here for an hour to join another queue for another hour.
I should take travellator.

QUEUES
Heh we did an EGX a few years ago so are well aware of the queues!

Yikes, just looked it up and it was Eurogamer 2012 (as it was called back then) so it's been a while!!

I think Iā€™ve been to 3 now. 1 in London and 2 in Birmingham. I went just for the social side, the actual exhibition I find so-so as I can never be arsed with the queues. Canā€™t go for the foreseeable future.

Looking forward to this (well, meeting up with other Seniors and having a laugh). We're going to be doing a bit of cosplay dressed as Agents from The Division 2. Currently @HaloJ is making papercraft weapons for us and has printed out some plans for various cut-fold-and-make guns from the internet. We're also saving kitchen and toilet roll tubes so she can make a grenade launcher! :D
