I used to play GT5 most Sunday nights in the last community that I was in. Really enjoyed it, Unfortunetly my new job means I have to quit on a Sunday night just after thier event starts so I dont join in any more.
I played a bit of GT 5 last night early on and really liked playing it again.
I was wondering if it would be possable to have a few casual races and a laugh with other GT 5 players a bit earlier in the evening? Could be any night baring Tues / Wed for me. Sometime around 7.00 - 9.30 would be ideal.
Is there anyone out there that would be up for a bit of early evening racing, or is it a tad too early for most of you?
If so pop the time and preferrerd night /s on here and we can see if we can get something going.

I'm in obviously though reliability may be a problem as I'm sometimes not home 'till 7 in the week

I've been playing GT5 a lot again lately. I can play most week days from 6 to 7ish onwards no problems (unless it's Monday when of course I have to watch New Tricks at 9pm). When we get together on HoPE games they usually start at around 9pm so can play up until then anyway. So I'll just go with whatever the majority vote for.

I havent even started playing this yet. Its shameful really, so the prospect of playing with some friendly faces gets a big thumbs up from me. But expect some crap driving from me though

It's looking like Friday or Monday then, though Monday is SNR random night there's not much that's likely to come up that I'd play over GT5.

Friday may compromise people's beer intake though, again, not a problem to me, my good lady feels my looks are not suitable for public viewing! [WINKING FACE]

Ok so how would this Friday night sound, Maybe half seven?
Perhaps if we get a few in we could have a "Top Gear type" themed or challenge nights where we get a certain amount of money to spend on a car from say a certain era or country and see what you can come up with for race night.

Or what was that Camaro you were talking about Chrisspy? See if I can come up with something American from the same era with a similar amount of power points to race you in.

And Plax, I've seen your stats in GT5, quite impressive actually , you must have spent a lot of time raciong on GT5. Do any of your Hope friends still race? Could they be persuaded to come online a bit earlier or does it clash with Corrie and Eastenders

Slaine , the good thing about this game is that there is no advantage to having a higher rank other than familirisation with tracks and amounts of cars owned, so everyone is pretty much on the same playing field.

I do but thats my showroom account (I've not updated that ps3 yet either) and don't race online with it now. Also it only has cars I love. Darth_Raiden is the account with many more cars (412 currently).

If you remember when racing with OAP on Sundays I use Darth_Raiden as I have better selection of cars.

Friday 7:30 would be fine with me. I think only one HoPE member has GT5 and she does seem to regularly play with the Gaming Oldies on their GT5 nights. I shall see if she'll be up for a few games if I can drag her away from COD long enough.

EDIT - She's in. So at least 1 other HoPE member will be joining :D

I lost quite a few cars when my PS3 had to be formatted a few months ago. My last save took me back to last November and 97 cars in the garage. Still plenty to choose from and I'm off to buy some 1960s Muscle cars this week to compete with Crisspys 69 camaro at the weekend.

Friday night then? Will try and get on, I'm gonna say now before the races I have a unique driving style. The style is slow joyride lol. Is there any cars I should get before hand? Keep in mind I only have 1m credit to spend.

Can I suggest we mix it up with full damage on a couple of races to pace it down so people will take care when racing.

Should I put an event up?

OK Jamie pop something up. As Chrisspy has a camaro that he likes hows about a few races to start using 1960s American cars under 500pp on some American tracks such as Laguna seca .
Later on we'll do European cars 1980 up to 450pp around the cities of London, Milan and Rome.
Spend as much or as little as you like and pop whatever tyres you want on.
If you need a car, and dont have much dosh, post on here and I'll send you one.

Ok ill pop the event up tomorrow when I get up, you don't need to send cars as you can share them. On a side note there is a way of setting cars to standard only, might be interesting to put that on for a couple.

Go in race settings for the online lobby and set it to Tuning Prohibited Jamie.
