Senior Gamers is part of an Affiliate scheme which allows us to earn commission on the goods and services you buy.

We now have an Affiliates page which you can see at the top of the forums. This page lists just some merchants that we can earn commission from. You can use the links on that page or other links throughout the site to earn us some commission if you make a purchase. Note that there are some links that can only be used on this page and not elsewhere to earn commission e.g. GAME.

Note: Any commission earned will be used for the sole purpose of developing and maintaining the Senior Gamers website.

If you use any websites that aren't listed on that page and would like to support the community with this, then please post these in this thread. The websites can then be checked out to see if the Affiliate scheme supports these. If they are in this scheme they will then be added to the list of merchants on this page.

Thanks. :)

I'll try and remember to go through here for Amazon etc. Does Curry's / PC World participate? Although I have already bought my iPad and dishwasher from them!

GAME have now been added to the Affiliates page.

To make a purchase from GAME that generates commission for the website you will have to use the link on the Affiliates page. Links for GAME from elsewhere will not earn any commission.

Yes, that's the idea of the Affiliate page. :)

Don't forget, if there's any websites you buy stuff from (they don't have to be gaming related) then post them in this thread and if they are part of the scheme I'll add them to the Affiliates page.

cdkeys.com have just been added to the affiliate scheme.

cdkeys.com specialise in providing "CD keys" (serial number or product code which is a combination of letters and numbers that activates a product) so they can offer the lowest prices together with instant delivery through their unique automated delivery system. They offer a large range of PlayStation Network cards, Xbox live points & subscriptions, PC games/expansion packs, iTunes cards and top-up cards for Nintendo, Facebook, Google Play, Origin and Steam . The reduced prices are through their sales volume and bulk buying power.

If you visit their site, you'll see PSN cards for £3-4 cheaper than their actual value (do note that even though they are marked as PS3/PS Vita they are valid on the PS4 too - I have confirmed this). There's also codes for Destiny Expansion Pass, The Last of Us Digital version and more at lower prices than if you just purchased on PSN by topping up your wallet.

This is a legitimate site, we wouldn't affiliate with them otherwise. They are probably the best known CD keys sites.

To make a purchase from cdkeys.com that generates commission for Senior Gamers you will have to use the link on the Affiliates page. Links for cdkeys.com from elsewhere will not earn any commission.

Oh, TLoU Remastered looks tempting... too little time (e.g. too much others) at the moment though.
I will remember this affiliate, thanks :)

For anyone who hasn't used cdkeys.com, I can now personally vouch for them alongside @Plaxinator's vouch.

My PS Plus subscription needs renewing on 22nd next week, so I decided to try them out for this rather than use the automatic renewal on PSN (which I do still have enabled. So I used the link on these forums and then purchased the PS Plus 365 day subscription which they are currently selling for £34.70 (that's a £5.29 saving on the standard £39.99 price). The process was quick and easy, I received an instant link to the PSN code which I then accessed once they sent me a security code first via SMS. I popped along to the PS Store, redeemed the code and it was done, my subscription was extended until 22 December 2015.

So the next time your PS Plus subscription needs renewing or you want to purchase something on PSN, please consider purchasing using cdkeys.com via the links on this site. It'll not only save you money but we'll get a bit of commission towards the running costs of this place. :)

As a follow-on to my last post, I used cdkeys.com again last night to purchase some PSN network cards so that @HaloJ & I could purchase some stuff for Warframe (it's Christmas and they are our presents to each other!)

Due to the volume of stuff I had purchased yesterday (and having never used them before), this time the order was put on hold until I could email a photo of some valid ID. Sensitive information in the ID could be redacted, as long as they could see from the photo that the ID belonged to the account holder. I supplied this and the order was quickly approved. I received the links in my account to the PSN codes which we duly redeemed.

It was actually quite reassuring to see that they have these checks in place so that someone can't hack into your account and spend a fortune on PSN and other stuff without your knowledge.

All in all the whole experience of using cdkeys.com has been very good and I am very confident about using the site for all future purchases on PSN. In total we saved nearly £20 compared to if we had purchased directly from the PSN store, plus our purchases also generated a few quid in commission for the upkeep of this site. :D

Just a note regarding the affiliate aspect of the CDKeys scheme. On the whole all is fine and purchases have been appearing in the commission list in the SNR account. However I've now had 3 commissions that haven't been recorded that I am aware of. Fortunately the Seniors who made these have passed on the details of the purchases to me and I've chased these with CDKeys and successfully had the commission manually added to the account.

I am currently pursuing these 'technical issues' with CDKeys. However, over the next few weeks/months I would be grateful if anyone who makes a purchase at CDKeys using the affiliate links on this site does two things. Firstly, please check that the URL you see when you arrive on their site is http://www.cdkeys.com/?mw_aref=seniorgamers (our affiliate link). Secondly, if you wouldn't mind then please send me a PM with the order number and date and time of your purchase (which you will get emailed to you once you have made a purchase). That way I can keep an eye on whether their system is fixed or not.

Thanks :)
