Close :D

When I made the above post the "number of messages" going by the forum stats was 12,999 but even after posting it stayed the same and also the post number said it was at #13,120 and not #12,999
So have there really been 120 posts that have been deleted?
If a post is deleted is that reflected in the forum posts count?
Should I find something better to do? :D

If the post count includes PM's like previous forums i've used then yes it's likely there's been that many posts deleted.

However, onto the more important question...yes...yes you should find something better to do :D

The post count will be for posts only, not for PMs. Neither this forum software not phpBB include PMs in post counts.

The discrepancy between post count and post number is indeed down to deleted posts. Some of these would have been duplicate posts that have been deleted and the rest would be test posts made when we were setting up the original site before it launched last June which we deleted before it went live.

Incidentally, of those 13000 posts, 90% of them were made by @Jkrohn1 ;)
